I agree in principle but simplistic thinking in terms of civil engineered structures alone will be suicidal. A lot of inputs from Hydrology, Mechanical Engineering, Irrigation and Agricultural Engineering have to be incorporated . We also need to think of Solar Energy aiding River Interlinking Projects, besides Gravity and Pumped Flows.
